Fflint
Vermiculated Eagle Owl
Fflint
Fflint was born into a breeding programme for this rare kind of African Eagle Owl that was until the 1990’s considered to simply be a sub species of the Spotted Eagle Owl.
He was ‘surplus to requirements’ for the programme and had a slight deformity of the left-wing so we gave him a home and he has joined our ‘Education Team’. He is a feisty little soul but has the most gorgeous eyes! “Eyes like inkwells”
was the comment from one of his admirers!
If you make him your Special Owl he will be very happy to see you when you visit!
