I had a brilliant morning! I took Conley and Kilmousky to meet some of the children at Ysgol Ffordd Dyffryn near West Shore in Llandudno. First of all, we talked to some of the youngest children. They had been reading the book “Owl Babies” They all knew the names of the baby owls. After they had all met us some older children came in and we had a quick meeting with them. I liked them all as they were very nice to us.
I heard that Pam has got two new babies who will be coming to join us soon. One id is called Gryff. He’s a Spectacled Owl. I think his kind of owl comes from South America. The other one looks very strange to me. He’s not an owl at all. He’s a strange kind of bird from Australia called a “Tawny Frogmouth”! I think that’s a very funny name but then he looks like a very odd bird! I’ll have to keep an eye on this one!! Here’s a picture of them that Jenni got for me. Gryff is at the back and this frogmouth person is in front.
Jenni says she will get some more photos for me and she promises to bring them to see me soon.
Lots of hoots and love,
Otis
