Bruce
Kookaburra
Bruce
Though Bruce is not an owl he is one of the most loved birds in our collection. He came to us from another zoo as a youngster. He was with a pair of Kookaburras and they were not getting on.
He is happy, healthy and ready for a game! He loves a ball to play with but can make his own toys out of things he finds – lumps of wood and stones are great favourites.
If you become one of his supporters you might even be able to help feed him when you visit! He will certainly greet you with at least a chuckle and, if you are lucky, his full-throated cackle of manic laughter!
They love his in Australia of course!
