Iolo
Great Grey Owl
Iolo
Iolo is named after our Patron, Iolo Williams the Naturalist. He is a magnificent Great Grey Owl and is a member of our “Education Team”.
Iolo is a bit of a sun worshipper and is frequently to be seen sitting on his perch, head back, enjoying the warmth of the morning sun! He is also an enthusiastic bather, splashing up huge sprays of water as he gets himself thoroughly and comically wet! Altogether quite a character!
Iolo and his friend Thomas have lived together since they were tiny and are very devoted to each other! They are often to be found trying to nudge one another of any available perching spot though.
