Brown Fish Owl
Lakshmi
We have a long history with the Brown Fish Owl. We were given a male Brown Fish Owl in 1996 who was then 21 years old. We could find no others in captivity in Europe until finally, one single female came to light.
We loaned our “elderly” young man out and surprisingly, considering his age, they produced owlets. Lakshmi and her sister are now on loan to the Monticello Breeding Centre in Italy where they are awaiting their first boyfriend.
We are looking forward to having a Brown Fish Owl back here at the Park anytime soon.
