Good morning All,

Well, it was cold last night, wasn’t it? Brian came along yesterday to tell me about the Barn Owl that is in the hospital at Llandudno. She has been so upset by her accident that she hasn’t felt like eating much. Jenni took the owl (she is called Connie) home to her house so that she could spend a lot of time persuading Connie to eat. It seems to have worked through Connie is very thin and weak. She’ll need a lot of care to get her ready to go back to the fields near Conwy where she lives. I’ll let you know how she gets on.

They had a group from Ysgol Y Faenol visiting the farm yesterday. The children had been reading “The Owl Babies” which is one of my favourite books. Kilmousky told them what Tawny Owls look like and took them for a walk to meet all the other owls at the farm.

I haven’t heard from Mac the Robin recently so I have sent a message to him to get in touch. I heard from Brian that he has made friends with a Dunnock who lives with Iolo and Thomas. Now, considering that these two would normally eat a small bird like a Dunnock I can’t really believe this rumour. Either this Dunnock is plum crazy or he has got some hold over Iolo and Thomas. I’ll need to get my spies out!

I’ll get back to you soon.

Otis
