Good morning Everyone!

Thought I’d start the week by telling you about the Ravens that live near Bodafon. They are based higher up the hill among the rocks and trees. They come down to the farm to look for things to eat but we see the most in the early evening when they are all coming home after spending the day hunting all over the countryside for food. They have an “Evening Kronk” – just like our Evening Hoot. They tell each other all about where they found the best eats and what they did all day. They are dreadful gossip and, by listening to them, People are beginning to realise just how much we birds say to each other. (Sometimes I think people are a bit daft when they think they are the only animals that can talk!)

You can find out more about Ravens at http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/r/raven/index.aspx

and about Dunnocks like Donald at http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/d/dunnock/index.aspx

I am hoping to get some updates on Connie the Barn Owl later today so I’ll be back with that this evening!

Hoots till then

Otis
