Evening All,

I’ve just come in from listening to the Evening Hoot and I’m afraid I have some really sad news from the Pwllheli area. It seems a wildlife warden on one of the nature reserves there found a Long-eared Owl yesterday with a  very badly broken wing. He phoned Pam in Llandudno for advice but it seems the wing was too badly injured to mend and we are afraid the poor owl will be put to sleep. I am very sad. I hope it wasn’t the guy we heard about from Denmark but it may very well be him.

Better news came from Kilmousky who went to Ysgol y Llys in Prestatyn with Wallace and Huw the other day. He says he liked the children at the school very much and he was very impressed with the questions they asked. He did have to whisper the answers into Jenni’s ear once or twice but he says it was a very good visit!. I like going to school especially when the children have been learning a lot about owls and the environment. Sometimes I even learn a few things from them!

Mac has sent me another picture of the security chap. It’s a bit clearer and I’m wondering if it’s a dog.

I must get more of the owls at Llandudno to tell me what they think – I know, I’ll contact Douglas he keeps a good eye on everything!

Lots of hoots and love

Otis
